1.-Container: This is the base of the device, containing a pre-filled buffer solution.
It has central grooves for stable attachment of the cylinder holder, as well as a tamper-evident seal.
2.-Cylinder holder: This is the key component with 12 numbered compartments.
It has a connecting tube that facilitates the flow of formaldehyde into the container.
The tabs allow the cylinder holder to be removed and the liquid to be emptied from the compartments.
3.-Lid: Ensures an airtight seal.
Incorporates a Luer-lock connector that allows for the controlled introduction of formaldehyde without opening the container.

Optimize handling, identification, and safety in the collection of multiple biopsy samples.
In procedures involving multiple biopsies, managing numerous samples and containers presents a logistical challenge.
Furthermore, minimizing healthcare personnel exposure to formaldehyde is crucial.
The new Cylinder Holder device is designed to facilitate the comprehensive handling of biopsies, ensuring accurate and safe identification.
Biopsies: prostate, thoracic, abdominal, musculoskeletal, breast, skin, and others.
Ultrasound-guided biopsies.
The procedure can be divided into 5 steps:
First, prepare the device.
Remove the tamper seal by pressing it with your fingers, and then remove the lid. This leaves the container ready for the samples.
Now comes the crucial moment.
Carefully lift the lid of the selected compartment and the steps for the safety managing of cylinders must be followed. (Watch video below)
To ensure everything is properly closed:
Press the lid down with both hands in different points of it until you hear clicks.
The syringe is connected via the Luer Lock connector by rotating it, and the formaldehyde is injected slowly. The syringe is then withdrawn and the cap is screwed onto the connector.
To achieve homogeneous diffusion of the formaldehyde throughout all compartments, gentle circular movements are performed for about 20 seconds.
Breast Biopsies with Microcalcifications
This device is especially valuable in breast biopsy procedures involving microcalcifications.
The radiopaque numbers on the compartments allow for clear identification of the cylinders containing microcalcifications during the mammographic examination.
To facilitate the mammographic examination, the cylinder holder can be slowly removed (using the tabs) to empty the fluid from the compartments. Once the examination is complete, the components are easily reattached.

Biopsies of Oncology Patients
The Cylinder Holder is also indicated for multiple biopsies from different anatomical regions.
Important Note: This device should only be operated by properly trained healthcare personnel. It is essential to handle it slowly and carefully to avoid drops, which could cause the compartments to open unintentionally.
